At night, a man in uniform watches as a girl carrying an armful of books disappears into an underground walkway. He begins to follow her, but as she exits and proceeds across a small bridge she becomes alarmed and turns back to check behind her. Seeing nothing, she spins around only to be attacked from the front. She screams and the bundle of books fall to the ground, followed by her lifeless hand.
Neurotic librarian Liz becomes increasingly distressed as several girls in her area go missing and are then found murdered. Determined not to become the next victim, she decides to pursue her own investigations...but no one wants to listen when she thinks she has the answer.
A very lacklustre episode. No one really seems to shine in this one and the whole plot seems a bit derivative and uneventful. Compared to the heights that Thriller would soon reach, this instalment is positively dreary.
